Professional Sports Publishing - 2021 - Present
Senior Graphic Designer
In the senior position, I work directly with various teams from all four major professional sports leagues, MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL, as well as a wide variety of teams from Division I NCAA football and basketball. While working with them, I design the “yearbook” and/or “gameday” programs sold at every home game, from the very beginning of design concept to uploading files to the printer.

Graphic Designer / Web Designer
I worked with state agencies for the nation’s leader in hunting and fishing regulation guides from the initial design of the guides through final file preparation for the printer. I would then export those files into HTML and build them into webpages for the company’s website.

Advertising and Brand Identity
While at Lyndon State College I was the lead designer for the Student Activities board, creating and rebranding weekly promotional table tents, and daily web advertisements for on-campus events.

I’ve had the opportunity to photograph vow renewals, engagements, best friends, and pets by creating an inviting and comfortable environment for the clients, while capturing their special moment.

Proficiencies

InDesign - PhotoShop - Illustrator - Wordpress - Microsoft Word/Excel - Acrobat

Over the years, having worked various freelance jobs as well as working for the nation’s leader in hunting and fishing regulation guides, I have developed many skills working with industry standard programs. InDesign has made me comfortable working with large documents, typically around 80-120 pages. As well as other things, like working within strict style requirements or even preparing the document for the printer. I have also worked with Acrobat, and am able to use the program for things such as preflighting the PDF for print.
Working these jobs has also given me plenty of experience with Photoshop and skills like editing images in non-destructive ways through masks, filters and appearance layers. Additionally, I have worked with Illustrator. A few examples of my skills with this program is my comfort working with vector, creating different things like icons and logos, then implementing them into different forms of media. Having converted many books from InDesign to HTML, I am comfortable inserting the HTML into Wordpress and can confidently troubleshoot mistakes in the HTML for a cleaner look on the site. I am also comfortable working with auxiliary programs like Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
